Compassion brings hope.
Compassion -n-sorrow for an others suffering:; pity.
Compassionate: adj- showing compassion; merciful.
( Webster's new English dictionary and thesaurus ).
Sorrow for an others suffering; should I be too
concern? We all should be in one way or the other.
It do bring hope into someone world, and the same
token add joy, strength to our webbing. It is caring
that is so essential to all of us.
Ezekiel Cooper remarks, this is in regard to the slave
trade." I blush at the conduct of many who are free
men in principle; have declared for; and supported the
cause of liberty and still persist in holding their fellow
creatures in bondage- the same that wounds and pains
us wounds and pains them. O compassion; awake in
the breasts of men".
Such compassion must move from empathy, to an open
tamable exercise in an act. Acts that will affect change
for the good of all humanly. Act beyond self serving, it
is live giving and money cannot match its values. However
it is in giving of our financial resources that we most
definitely affects change when it is use meaningfully.
Compassion gives hope, and hope in the heart is life
giving. and sure add meaning to live. Who could question
the unselfish compassionate love and devotion of the
former mother Teresa of Calcutta India to her people and
the world at large? Our world desperately need compassion
right now, each and everyone as the ability to do that. Just let
that light shine, giving a candle light of hope to someone in need.
On that is my take today on this journey of life.
